pushk.in – a Russian grammar trainer built on the classics
Pushkin is a Russian grammar trainer built on quotes from classic literature. It shows a phrase, you pick an answer, and you immediately see the rule. It now has 16 exercises and more than 950 questions on punctuation, spelling and editing.
What it has now
- Punctuation — ten topics, from the comma before "как" and parenthetical words to direct speech and complex sentences
- Spelling — "Н or НН", "Find the mistake", "Fill in the letter" and stress
- Editing — picking the better version of a phrase, and stop words
- Marathon — questions from every category in a row; the game ends at the first mistake
- Question of the day, a blog and a rules reference
The 2020 version
The project started as pushkingame.ru and trained only commas and dashes. Since then it has moved to pushk.in and been rewritten in React. Below is the first version.

With pushkingame simulator, you can learn how to make fewer mistakes writing in Russian. You should click on the right answer and you will see the right anser and related russian language rule.
Score page
After 5 answers you will see your score and realize how close you are to the famous Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.
